With the support of our generous partners and community donations, the Hellenic Appeal Foundation is extending a helping hand to families across our community.

It’s important that we know that not everyone is as lucky as we are. There are many less fortunate people in our communities and we have the power to make a difference in their lives. The Hellenic Appeal Foundation believes that giving connects us to others, creating stronger communities and helping to build a more fulfilling society for everyone.

Questions you may have

All donations go towards purchasing of food items and the annual fundraiser. In order to ensure that the highest percentage of donations goes towards providing help to the people that need it, the foundation has no administrative costs – all activities around our food drives and fundraiser are carried out on a volunteer basis.

Although we value all donations, financial donations have the greatest impact on fighting hunger in our community. With the indispensable contributions from our generous partners and the bulk purchases made using your donations, we are able to ensure that the families on our distribution lists receive a variety of fresh and healthy provisions.

Volunteering with us involves the packaging, organization and distribution of the food baskets. There are typically around 600 boxes distributed to approximately 150 families during the food drives and these are all packed and delivered by volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer to be part of the food drive distribution process, please contact us at [email protected].
